michael came to spend some time with us on Monday night. of course i got out the camera.... i take pics of this handsome kid every chance i get!!!! i'm trying so hard to learn my camera settings, and that's why some of the pics look so grainy. i hate the harsh flash look, so i'm trying to figure out how to shoot indoors without the flash. any tips or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Do you have a shoe mount flash?
That's what I use alot...
Just use a bounce flash technique and you won't get that harsh light that you hate so much. It will actually (depending on what you bounce it off of) give you a really great product. When you practice and experiment alot... you will know just how to postition that flash to create the BEST shadows....
